Shells and Blue Vase by Christine Marx

Well, it sure has been a while between postings for me. Here's the newest thing off the easel. I haven't done shells in a long time so I thought it was time to do them again. I've been doing flowers and more flowers so the shells were a nice (and frustrating) change of pace!

If you want to read the sentimental/sappy blog posting that goes along with this new painting go to christinemarxoriginals.com

HOW COULD I RESIST YOUR INVITATION TO READ YOUR BLOG--I LOVE SAPPY AND SENTIMENTAL-UNFORTUNATTELY, MY EXPERIENCE WHEN STEPPING BACK IS TO SEE THAT THE PAINTING IS NOT WORKING--REGARDLESS THE FAR VIEW IS MOST BENEFICIAL--I ALSO TAKE NOTE OF HOW THE PAINTING WORKS IN DIM LIGHT-THERE ARE,SOMETIMES, AREAS THAT ARE TOO STRONG OR WEAK-CONSTANT EVALUATION CAN DRIVE ME CRAZY. "SIGN IT,TURN THE EASEL AROUND, CECELIA, AND MOVE ON." PS--LOVE YOUR PAINTING!

Your words of wisdom are best Cecilia "sign it, turn the easel around, and move on!"

I love it!

Thank you.

Your art is just beautiful. I'm not sure why you are not on the cover of Art Collectors Magazine. It is truly professional work. The rose color through out the work, the small simple reflection, shadows, composition is great, the small shell in the left corner is remarkable. I'm delighted I know someone with this talent. Phil
