Hemlock Valley Creek by Mary Beth Brath

Hemlock Valley Creek by Mary Beth Brath
6x6" Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas

This is the type of location that I like to spend my summer vacations. Peace and quiet and a potential painting everywhere I turn. This was painted from a photo I took while on vacation last year. It was completed alla prima (in one sitting). The camera image of the painting does not show the detail and sharp brushstrokes.

How nice Mary Beth. I love the blues running through the painting. It is so inviting! Wonderful!

I would like to be at a cool place like this on a hot summer day. You caught that shady place very well. Beautiful painting!

A beautiful painting; I like the path that takes me into another "place". Makes me want to walk there.

Such a beautiful painting Mary Beth. I love the composition and the overall soft hazy feeling of the trees. It's peaceful to look at!
