"Three Shy Apples" by Taryn Day

oil on panel
5.5"x6"

Yesterday I finished an intensely detailed still life, which I won't post because I find it insufferably dull.  Today I decided to keep it loose, and I had a good time painting again.  I'm resisting the urge to clean up edges and add more detail, and that's a challenge.

I love the looseness of this piece. Those apples in the front are amazing. Great painting!

I like this little theme you have going - viewing objects through glass. It is cool, and I am sure a huge challenge to paint. You have done a wonderful job of just indicating what is necessary to understand what is going on and avoided focusing on details.
