"Martian Hunter: Protector of Earth." by Michael LeKites
Just a little science fiction fun here. It is still a work in progress. Spent about 9 hours so far just on the drawing. Another 10 hours or more designing the prop ray gun. Endless hours on suits. I designed two. Ended up combining them. Probably have at least 6 hours or more to go, depending on what I do with the background. I may do a movie poster type thing, but not sure just yet.
I am doing a series of drawings in preparation for an acrylic portrait. I have one more to go I believe.
One of my sons posed for me again. Mechanical pencil and artist pencils, HB, 2B 3B 5B and F on smooth Bristol. Size is 12x12. I've included photos of the ray gun. It's made of wood, rubber, plastic, metal and cord.

Interesting project, Michael!
Another warrior, BUT... this time with the slight twist! :-) This is really interesting coincidence... just yesterday we were looking with Irina on DANIEL E. GREENE's web site with his painting of Star wars heroes... Go for it! It should be cool!
Wow! All that effort is already paying off, Michael. This is amazing!
Great to see diversity on the blog Michael. Great post!
