Spend the day with this 'Master Teacher' and former Visual Art Department Chair of a top-tier prep school in the DC area who now lives in the Susquehanna Valley of Central PA amidst it's scenic hills and farmland. The day will start with discussion of his process then move outdoors for loose sketching in pencil or paint while taking photos for later use. After some time on color paint studies outdoors, return indoors for a roundtable discussion of composition and developing a studio painting while the photos are being processed. After a break for lunch, begin working on your canvas or panel blocking in color and bringing your work toward completion with David's guidance. David strives to make a viewer aware of a fleeting moment of solitude in nature where nature's quiet elements create a lasting impression of a personal place and time… a romanced image of a cherished memory. Susie--I have already signed up and I assume I will b receiving more info as we get closer to the date.
David's paintins are so marvelous - I'm sure his workshop will be a superb experience. I hope you guys have a great time and learn a lot!
