The greatest payment an artist can receive for their painting is not measured in money but in the tears from a mother. Today at the reception and unveiling of our paintings for the "Degas Project" I received just that. It was so rewarding to see how happy the entire family was with the painting of their beautiful daughter. The model was a beautiful girl - inside and out - giggly, happy and full of joy - truly a joy and honor to paint. Finished watercolor matted and framed is 44" x 28".

so achingly lovely, Kathy..dynamic composition...
Just beautiful, Kathy--the painting and its perspective has a hint of Degas, but with the Michels touch. Lucky, lucky family to have such an amazing tribute to their daughter.
This is so beautiful, Kathy. I agree with Cecelia, it makes me think of Degas but definitely has your style - gorgeous!
I hope the mother buys this one, or has already. It is a treasure and a work or art she should have.
I can see why the family was moved. This says so much. Lovely!
I saw this painting up close and personal. It is beautiful! Kathy, I can see why the family was so touched by it.
