Spring Fling Watercolor Landscape by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Bertie Brown - Art is Instrumental

Spring Fling

original watercolor landscape: 12"w x 10"h

Sophie and I

are asking you-all

are buttercups high in cholesterol?

they glisten like butter

in their golden yellow clusters

we think they’d taste great

and we’d be well fed

if we used them as spread

on jam or jelly bread

would popcorn just popped

be better with hot

melted buttercups drizzled

all over the top?

is lobster that’s baked

in buttercup paste

richer in flavor

more pleasing to taste?

Sophie and I

agreed as we said

we think we’ll just paint

those buttercups instead!

Buttercups, such a wonderful part of a simple summer day. Love the colors in your painting too.
