Poppy Pizzicato Watercolor Floral/Poppies by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Bertie Brown - Art is Instrumental

Poppy Pizzicato

original watercolor floral/poppies: 7"w x 11"h

Poppy Pageant

More little red-haired girls

Than we’d hoped for or imagined

It looks just like

A beauty pageant!

Sophie and I, artistic hosses

Are painting their portraits

Till our poppy bosses

Are simply stems

With great hair losses!

We’ve less than a week

To get the job done

We’re hoping for good weather

With plenty of sun!

I'm waiting for my neighbor's beautiful poppies to bloom. They are planted on the side of his white brick garage, under a dear little window. You are right, we have to hope it doesn't rain, because they leave us very quickly. Your vision, as always, is inspirational.

I agree. Fun painting and it is so true, how the poppies bloom is so delicate and short. Mine are late this year.
