SPRING BEGINS ALONG THE FLORIDA PIKE BY Cecelia Lyden

oil on stretched canvas

In late February, signs of spring were popping up along stretches of the Florida Turnpike. Some roadside shrubs and trees were sporting bright green foliage. This looked so enticing. especially in contrast with the fields, which appear orange in the bright sunlight. Of course, puffy clouds get me everytime.
