Hello Thom, my older brother would have LOVED this painting! He loved fishing and spent alot of his time "tying flies". My brother died at age 59 of lymphoma. Thanks so much for bringing back some very fond memories for me!

There are few things that are as spectacular as seeing a bald eagle swoop down and pull a fish from the water, and you have painted this incredible moment of nature beautifully!

I always look for the eagles at Lake Marlburg near Hanover. I did see one on the ice one year, looking in the water. I still have that vision in my mind for a painting. This is beautiful!

Catch and release?... No way!
I wouldn't let that fish go myself. I would cook it however... not a big fan of raw fish, unless it is a good sushi! :-)
