Driving back and forth from Fort Pierce to Gainesville on the Florida Turnpike, I saw some beautiful scenery. We were rushing to catch our granddaughter's lacrosse 1:00 game at the University of Florida, so there was no stopping. I started snapping photos as my husband flew by one potential painting after the other. Amazingly, most of them came out just fine. I plan to do a couple more.

Cecelia - this is such a beautiful piece. I use to drive up into Gainesville and you captured the landscaping there wonderfully. I can see that long road we always use to travel. We would stop and just look out into that long stretch of land - amazing job!
You captured the sunlight very convincingly, Cecelia -- I can feel the warmth (which is nice right about now, I might add)!
Thank you both so much. And Kathy it's such fun to learn that you have experienced that same stretch of beautiful scenery. Next year, the plein air artist that I painted with said she has arranged with a ranch owner to paint on his property --really looking forward to that.
Beautiful landscape painting, Cecelia! The flat land in Florida lets you see for miles.
This is an absolute favorite, Cecelia. There are so many planes of interest that make this such a successful painting - especially that warm band of gold on the horizon. Wonderful!
Very nice Cecelia! I can feel the warmth from the painting!
