Until this absurdly cold spring weather warms up, I have to content myself painting from photos. I took this one, on the fly, from my car window, as we were travelling from Naples to the Miami area on Alligator Alley. Next year, we are going to stop and visit The Everglades. I doubt that I will be painting plein air there--don't need those alligators knocking over my easel. But, I'm looking forward to witnessing The Glades up close and taking some nice photos--to paint from when I return to PA in March, while I sit out another unhospitable, cold, spring.

Love this, Cecelia. The clouds are so voluminous and airy - I can feel the light breeze that would be pushing them along through the sky...
Very nice Cecelia...Love those clouds!
This is great!
Love the loose brushwork in the clouds here!!
It's wonderful that you have found so much inspiration from your winter in Florida...I think it could be a theme for a show?
The texture and motion are really engaging - it's very lovely. Great look at the big sky!
Thank you everyone--and Julie, I'm still inspired and will probably keep painting these scenes till I say to myself, "Enough already!"
Very nice- such clear and clean color. You really feel like you are outside when you view it.
It has been awful cold. Usually I'm outside painting by early to mid March, but I haven't gone out yet.
