Quick Vine Charcoal, Maria Kovalenko Leysens


Very quick, maybe half an hour, charcoal study from the portrait session today. I spent too much time visiting and chatting. I did get the gist of the model but missed a lot of the subtle lights and darks.

Even minus the subtlties, the portrait still speaks to me.Wonderful expression shown in the eyes and mouth.
