Watercolor Portrait by Kathy Michels

I just finished up this watercolor portrait of another one of my little ballerinas. As I sift through the photos I still can't get over the intensity of these little four year olds as they carefully studied each move.

Woo Hoo, Kathy! Way to go. I like the way you handled the sheer material on the sleeves. You've really captured her look showing her concentration and great intensity. Nice painting.

WOW. This is a really wonderful painting, Kathy. Her expression is so intense, yet you haven't let that affect the fact that she still looks like a little girl. Fabulous!

What joy you must get painting these little darlings--I agree with Linda and Claire--wonderful work on the fabrics and facial expressions.

I agree with the others. I also loved her intent look and the sheer fabric.
