Day 64

Thanks to my friends Carolyn and Fred Baldwin,
these sweet yellow peppers that they gave to me
have made it onto canvas.  This was one of those
paintings that pretty much painted itself - I started it
and suddenly realized I was putting on the final
highlights!  I love when that happens...when I start to
paint and the rest of the world disappears.

Claire the peppers are so realistically and beautifully painted--once again, I LOVE your rich coloring in the background and forground--I am a little confused about the placement of the top pepper--is its end touching the table?

Thanks, Cecelia. I may have to darken the shadow under that pepper...there already is one, and I was hoping the darkening of the pepper as it receded would help.

I just love when I get in the "painting zone" and painting is effortless. The paintings show the relaxed energy too. Love the warm reflection on the top pepper too.

Really bold and yummy colors. Love the shapes of the peppers. Yes - being in the "zone" is a fantastic experience.
