Green Apples - Mark H Brown

I had painted a pear on the wood box back in the summer and wanted to continue the theme with this piece, using green apples and an old wooden container from a farmers market stand.  Wood allows for so many variations in edge, color and fun cuts, dings, gouges and bumps.  The leaves on the apples help give "life" to the subject, and I couldn't resist a few water droplets on the fruit.  Enjoy.

Nicely composed, skillfully and beautifully painted--would love to know who some of your favorite artists are--past and present.

I love it. your rustic table complements the shiny apples so well.
