Sunny Sunshine - Linda Benton McCloskey
Here's my other realistic painting - "Sunny Sunshine" - watercolor on 140# cold pressed watercolor paper, half sheet. This is my favorite of the two (the other is the painting of roses) - maybe because I love sunflowers. Half way through my painting of the second realistic one, I was "ready" to go back to my non-objective way of painting. "I needed my freedom back", Thanks for your comments on the roses!

Beautiful work Linda.
Beautiful positioning and rendering of the sunflower. The background relates so well in color and feel to the flower and leaves--representational, but still enough looseness to make this painting vibrant.
I like both paintings, Linda. Your non-objective art has truly come through to your representational pieces. Keep doing both...they are becoming symbiotic.
Linda...I love this one too!
What size is this one?
Good to see you doing something other then abstracts for the change, Linda!
You shouldn't have to worry - you didn't loose your touch with none-"none-objective" works! :-) Both paintings are looking great!
Both paintings are lovely. What talent you have to be able to do both non objective and realistic works. You are an inspiration.
