"Mom's Orange Juice Pitcher" Colored Pencil by Charlotte Yealey

13x17
Colored Pencil
I was at the 40th annual Open Juried exhibit reception today were I was presented a Award of Merit for my colored pencil painting titled "Nap Buddies". I also entered my pastel titled "Jack Russell Terrier" which got into the show but my third entry was declined which is this colored pencil painting I titled "Mom's Orange Juice Pitcher". I have this carnival glass pitcher and I love the colors that show up on the amber glass when the light hits it.

Wow! this work is beautiful..I love the carnival glass pitcher...I have some carnival ware but none as striking as this...when i first saw this post, I thought the work was by Mark Brown! the reflections are so interesting and I love the light on the left side which directs my eye right to the pitcher..

You have captured the quality of the carnival glass, and the irridescence created by the light hitting the glass perfectly. I think I will add another WOW!
