Inquiring Eyes by Rebecca Huff

And so here he sits, looking beyond you, wondering what it is that is over there. "Inquiring Eyes", Acrylic on canvas, 16x20 was a joy to paint. I do not think I was ever frustrated at all with any part of this painting. (Frustrated a couple times when I globbed on toomuch paint in the brush a time or two!!!)... but the cat cooperated fairly well! I am going to let him sit and decide if there needs to be any changes. I love feedback, whether positive, or critiquing nicely. I am excited to continue on a still life I have going on, and then to start either a monkey or a chickadee, I can't decide just yet!!! Plus I have a HUGE one with a little bit of humor that will be started soon too!!!

Wonderful texture work, Rebecca--the "spots" are so well done and interesting--and am I noticing some "spots' in the background? And the eyes are riviting.

I love how the eyes pull in some of the color from the background - this really came out beautifully!

Thanks, gals!!! I have decided mysterious backgrounds are quite fun. :) Eyes are my favorite to do, and challenging to make seem real... and of course, I love a challenge! ;))
