READY FOR BREAKFAST
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Ready for Breakfast'
Oil 8 x 8
Available

Initially I wanted to paint this because it was a
white on white study, but I soon started having fun
just painting the spaces around the eggs as they
nestled in the dish. There's so much subtle color in
this, the warms and cools in both the dish and the eggs.
Definitely a painting that taught me a few things!

As a watercolor artist that refuses to use White - I am totally in love with this painting of white on white!!

Ditto to both comments about this piece; what time's breakfast? I'll bring the bacon....
Way to go on your challenge. Keep up the great work!

I LOVE IT! The values, the shapes, the delicate floral trim. Another one of your little gems that made my heart skip a beat when I first saw it.

Those eggs are inspiring me, Claire! I also love the white on white theme.

Claire, what a great painting. White on white without using white. Not only did you paint the painting, but you painted the ceramic dish. I, also, love the perspective of looking down into the dish...
