Cherries in a bowl - Mark H Brown

I finished this painting of cherries today. The shiny surface of the cherries allows for a lot of blue/grey bounce lights on the shadow side, a nice compliment to the rich reds in the light. I also enjoyed all the facets of color and light in the glass. This is another piece in a series of paintings using a lighter background. The stems create such character, not to mention some compositional energy. Loved painting it!
