Apples ~ ANDY SMITH, watercolors

4"x 6" Watercolor

I plan to paint this in a larger painting so
this is a study. It helps with the composition
and the color of the apples. The apples were
hanging from a tree so for the study I left
the background as an impression of leaves.

It's nice to enjoy this painting, as it shows off your skills as an artist- similar to that large portrait you did of the young girl. The softness of your brush and the shadowing continue through all your paintings.

Beautiful design and form. I hope you will post the larger piece once it is complete.
