Last week we painted at the Wildwood Wetlands Sanctuary. I only had about two hours so I painted this simple little scene. I was drawn by the layers. There was a little egret standing at the water's edge which I think I'll paint in. The photo image of this painting has distorted the colors somewhat. I still haven't quite figured out my digital camera.

Awesome Lyn! Wish I could have been there!
I love horizontal compositions and love that you picked out and painted in all those horizontal layers.
Love the composition!
nice composition with the repeating greens, oranges and blues.
It has amazing depth and richness for two hours. Bravo!
You have created such a lovely sense of atmposphere and depth in this, Lyn - something you do quite well!
I love the rich colors and the depth you created.
Thanks everyone -- it's coming up darker than the original - I don't know if it's the camera or the computer.
Awesome.
