"Sailing Away" by Debra Tritt-Kreiger

"Sailing Away" 10"x14" watercolor on 140lb Arches paper

My reference for this painting came from Charleston, S. C. It was a wonderful sunny and breezy day and I couldn't help but be jealous of these sailors!

I love the simple background against the detail of the fore ground. The water is great!

I love the background also and really love the placement of the sailboat. It feels as if the boat is slowly moving right onto picture plane.

Such a wonderful, light-filled painting. The colors are so clean and full of sunlight - love this!
