I just realized that your two recent poppy paintings here up on the DPP blog played a significant part in my purchase today of two new poppy plants for my flower beds!
Thanks, Claire... what flavor (!) did you buy? I have several different varieties that I bought , but my favorite doesn't seem to have a name and can't be bought...it has multiple petals and stemmy stamens in the middle. I got them from a lady who had a poppy patch... she collected the seed heads for me and I allowed them to dry before I spread them about in what I hoped would become my 'poppy patch'...it worked!
