Com-posers (Series) by Bertie Brown

Com-posers

original: 14 1/2"w x 14 1/2"h

The Alley Rally

The Golden Girls have gathered to rally

'Round my backyard Sunflower Alley.

Bending down to admire

All the portraits they did inspire.

“Oohs “ and “ahhs”... Yes, they see.

“That one looks like me!”

They all nod to agree

And reminisce nostalgically.

Not so long ago,

“It's only weeks, don't ya know!”

Remember back in the days

We had our young

And innocent ways,

We danced the jitter-bug hop

While catching golden sun-drops.

Surely, “Those were the days, my friend

We thought they'd never end”.........

Love the "Golden Girls" reference, Bertie; double entendres - I love 'em! This piece is so lovely; nice movement and great colors.
