Colored Pencil/Watercolor Pencil experimental piece, Step 4, by Amy Lindenberger

I believe I've nearly completed this piece. Now that I'm viewing the image in this post, I see a few edges that need some strengthening, particularly on the bud and pink peony in the lower left portion of the composition. One thing I like to do with all of my work, is take it near to completion and then let it rest for a short period, getting completely away from it. Since I am preparing for a conference and will be leaving to attend in two days, it will be the perfect opportunity for me to take a break from this drawing and get a fresh look at it when I return. Though I doubt there will be too many additions, I'll post the final version next week.

This has been a lot of fun, and I'm already tossing around ideas for another demo piece I started in that same workshop!

Just keep getting better and better, if it is even possible. Love it!

The buds are wonderful...but so is everything else...such a creative process!

Amy, I just love this piece. It is so beautiful, the colors, the texture, the background. It suddenly seems to have less crinkly wrinkles! Did you do something different? No matter; I loved it when it was green and it is even more beautiful now!

Very beautiful. It blends the various components together so well.

Thanks, everyone for your kind comments and support!

Autumn Leaves: the wrinkles are still there, they just aren't as evident -- especially in the post -- as they were, now that I've added more color. In the actual work, they're still pretty obvious.
