"Bumble-Bee" by Debra Tritt-Kreiger

"Bumble-Bee" Watercolor 5"x7" on 140lb Arches Paper

I couldn't resist painting this bee. He was very busy at my butterfly bush last year. It looked like he had injured his wing at some time. I chose to paint him like I saw him, pollen and all. Spring is in the air!

I just LOVE your bee, Deb. He looks like he could fly right off the paper. This is wonderful!
(I am so glad to have finally met you in person. It's nice to have a 'face' to the beautiful artwork!)

This is a great watercolor, Deb. Your detail on the bee is wonderful and those tiny flowers-super! I am happy we could see each other in person today. I had a great time at the Mid Atlantic Garden show!

Oh oh oh!! Lilacs? The transparency of the bee's wings? That wonderful background? All come together in a stunning painting, Debra. I love this piece!

Nice job on this piece. I did a double take on the size. I thought with all the detail it was bigger.

Deb, love the dark background, which really pops your lilac. What a job on the bee!
