Bellefonte Pennsylvania by Mary Beth Brath

Bellefonte Pa.
11x14" Acrylic on Canvas
A couple of years ago, a large hotel in Bellefonte was demolished. I was taken by the bare feeling the place had with such a huge structure missing from the scene. The hotel stood just to the right of the building shown in the painting. Everything in the painting was kept in a minimalist style.

I like this painting, Mary Beth -- I think I had seen it on your website prior to this. It really does have a very solitary sort of mood to it. Nice job!

Very nice, Mary Beth. It's too bad we lose some of these great old buildings.
