Thom, I love dragonflies and have photographed them at my pond but I never tried to paint one yet. This one has blue eyes-does each kind have different eye color?

I love the blue eyes on this dragonfly. Perhaps this is the 'Paul Newman' species??? :)

Yes -Charlotte- dragonflies have different colored eyes, different wing shapes, different body shapes and more. I especially love the variety of patterns on the wings. There is always something new with each species of dragonfly.
