Musically Inclined Series (Woodwind Quintet) by Bertie Brown

Musically Inclined
15 1/2w x 18 1/2h

Quints Jam
The woodwind Quintet
Is surprised and upset
That a brass French Horn-et
Is allowed on their set
But the French horn explained
While the Woodwinds complained
That his rich rounded sound
Keeps the Woodwinds anchored down
So they changed all their plans
And that’s how it began
For the “Woodwinds Quints Jam”!

Love your colors.

They're gettin' kind of radical, huh!

All of these musical instrument pieces just truly sing and dance right off of the page. It isn't hard to picture the glamorous nightclubs of the 30's and 40's, ladies in their gowns of sparkle, men in their tuxes...Wonderful subliminal images for me, Bertie.

I think the background sets the tone quite beautifully for all of these instruments, Bertie!
