Class Assignment at Oakes Natural History Museum- By Thom Glace

Watercolor Pencil Study during a class through Mechanicsburg Art Center
at Messiah College's Oakes Museum of Natural History.

I can highly recommend this class to enjoy drawing & painting from real animals in a museum of African and North American animals- from elephants to antelopes and much more. I mainly did pencil and pastel studies.

Friendly and fuzzy...a great combo! Your rendering of texture is so three dimensional..Are you teaching the course?
Isn't it amazing that those skinny, skimpy legs can hustle that substantial body around!

I got a chance to do this when I was in college, and it is a wonderful experience. Your drawing is terrific, Thom.
