'View from the Eternal Light Peace Memorial'

Oil Plein Air
8 x 10
The weather has not been very co-operative for the
Gettysburg Festival Plein Air Event 2014. It's been
grey and dreary, with some spots of rain.
I started out the event painting with my back to the
Eternal Light Peace Memorial because I love the
view of the fields. A tiny little chipmunk kept me
company while I painted!
These paintings will be on display at the Alumni House
at Gettysburg College until Monday, June 16, 2014,
and then they will be on display at the
Adams County Council of the Arts until the end of June.
If you would like to see more of my work,
interested in purchasing any of my paintings you see
here on this blog, please contact me.

Beautiful work, Claire! Hope to see You some time during the event... Also... hope we will get some nicer days to paint then one we got today.
You're a true plein air artist-your painting truly tells the story of the day's light.
Thanks for sharing in your post...
and your lovely work!
