King's Gap Therapy II by Mary Beth Brath
16x20" Acrylic Plein Air
I had a wonderful time painting at King's Gap State Park in South Central PA yesterday with fellow Daily Painter of PA Claire Beadon Carnell. I actually painted over something that I started to block in several years ago at Fort Hunter PA. This was a great feeling of letting go of a bunch of poisonous comments that have been made to me and about me by a certain male artist. By the time I left the gardens, I mentally did an Amish Shunning of the person. Perhaps eventually I will be able to pray from him. Adios Mr. H.
I have worked out many emotions over the years while I paint. Hope this did not sound negative...it was actually a good thing.

I think the best paintings are emotional ones. When i first saw this image I thought- what a lovely painting.
This painting is full of grace and beauty - taking some grasses and elevating them to a lovely painting! Really beautiful, Mary Beth!
Thanks ladies!
ART is an escape...GOOD Therapy!
You are always giving of yourself to others..it's hard to imagine someone wanting to hurt you. This painting has a wonderful wispy quality, the grasses dancing in the wind along with your worries.
We love you Mary Beth!
I like everything about this painting. It looks like it was done effortlessly!
Thank you for the wonderful comments.
