Baby Lamb family by Linda Young, watercolor 10 x 15" | |

Some
of you painters who were at Art on the Farm will remember these
lambs. These lambs were at the Dickinson College Farm just outside of
Boiling Springs. It's been two years since I've started to paint them. Using four
different colors for the underpainting in four different sized
rectangles, the lambs were painted with complimentary colors throughout
this piece. The original inspiration to paint in this style was from a
workshop I took with professional artist Judi Betts. The painting
technique was difficult because I had to continually remind myself what
colors to paint without creating mud. This painting was similar in
style as were the Boer Goats from two years ago.

LOVE IT!
Linda-your beautifull, delicate rendring certainly matches the subject.
