Several years ago we were in Maine with my daughter and
her family, staying at a wonderful cabin right along the 'pond'.
I had never been kayaking before, but my daughter and I
decided to take a trip along the 'Serpentine' - a four mile
round trip. It was incredible to be at water level, observing
the flora and fauna, and was an amazing experience.
This painting is 95% from memories of our journey...the
soft summer breeze, floating along side the gorgeous water lilies, the
amazing blues and greens of the water, and the wonderful,
unforgettable time I had with my daughter.

Doing this from memory has given this a gorgeous dreamy quality. I too really enjoy kayaking! Glad this trip made such a lovely memory for you.
