Of all the pears, I think I like the seckel pears best.
They are compact, and smaller than most other pears,
and I find their bronze-y green and red coloring
beautiful and fun to paint.  I wanted this one to have a
little drama, so I put it in my box that has limited
light.  My favorite part is the reflected light from
the wooden box that hits the under-belly of the pear...

All of my paintings for this Challenge will be done in a 6 x 6 format,
and my main goal while painting from life
is to LOOSEN UP and USE MORE PAINT...
something which will only benefit my work.

Beautiful Painting - I have enjoyed watching your challenges each day. Such wonderful pieces. Love the mystery in this piece.

Love the glow against the neutral background. It's simply beautiful!

Agreeing with Kathy, I enjoy seeing what you've come up with each day. The reflected light is a nice point of interest too.
