Lady of the Lake - acrylic abstract Arthurian Legend painting by Pennsylvania Artist Pat Koscienski

Lady of the Lake
12" x 12"
Acrylic on canvas

When I first painted this, I was attempting to do a nonobjective abstract.  This figure kept coming up despite my trying to phase her out.  After several attempts, I decided she was staying per her request.  Last week I entered this painting into the AAH (Art Association of Harrisburg) Fairytales, Fables, & Fantasy exhibit.  I had named her the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian Legend and felt it was appropriate for the theme.  The good news I got on Friday was that it won 2nd place in the oil/acrylic category.  Unfortunately, due to illnesses and a death in the family in western PA, I was not able to attend the reception.  The win definitely did help elevate my spirits.  This painting along with one other of mine will be on display at the AAH, 21 N Front St., Harrisburg, Pa until February.  If in the area, please stop in to see the exhibit.  If you have any questions or wish to purchase, contact PAT.  To see more of my work, please visit my website and blogspot at:
