I am also haveing a problem, just learned to get around it by clicking HTML on the left side and downloading from there, after the photo loads click back to compose... But prefer the right way!
I have not been on my computer until recently, but while in blogger I have gotten two Blogger error shutdowns that indicate Blogger is having issues. Has this beein happening today only. or have you had this problem for awhile?
If you don't click on compose and click on the icon to download your photo you can do it from your computer. Then you can add your text. That's how I was able to do it.

I know it is very frustrating... I have been doing as Andy says for the last week. Only way I know to get around it.

Did You guys, try to log in with different browser? Most of the time it would work. If not - just wait a day or so and try again.
