LOVER'S LANE, 12x9, oil en plein air by Sharon Benner

Tuesday, Dec 4th was one of those rare days when temps were in the high 60s and I painted at my friend Amy's property.  This road was behind her house and has been closed to traffic for years.  The orange, pink and brown leaves covered the road surface and the overgrown shrubs still had some green leaves.  When the road was open it was officially named Lover's Rd.

I love the way your painting is filled with atmosphere, Sharon. I want top be walking down this path!

It's beautiful Sharon. I really like your treatment of branches; I've noticed it before.

Lover's Lane was a popular spot when I was young. You really captured the seclusion of the area and over the crest of the road it continues. Your colors are beautiful and shadows are so true.
