CROCKS WITH WOOL BLANKET, oil, 16x20 by Sharon Benner

A studio, still life painted to practice painting earth colored pottery and the wool texture of the blanket.   I learned a lot about layering rich colors in the dark areas of the large crock.  I'm not sure I learned anything about painting wool fabric but it was fun.  I don't plan on framing or showing this painting, but I'll keep it for future reference.

I like this, Sharon. The blanket leads your eye into the painting. The colors are very attractive. And, the leaves add a sense of movement.

This would be a good painting to put in January's "In the Blue" Show. I like it and think you captured the earth toned pottery.
