ABANDONED By Cecelia Lyden

acrylic/canvas
22x29

I painted this shell of a building from a photo I took while exploring the South Hampton, NY area. I loved being able to see the ocean through the paneless windows--also love the sharp geometric shapes of the house set against the sky.

Nice painting, Cecelia! I love the feel of an unrushed time and place; no cell phones, no internet, and tv to distract :)

I feel the movement in the grass, the house looks so distant and abandoned...and then the water looks cool and deserted. I really FEEL this Painting!

Cecelia,

Just beautiful! I love the house, but especially love the greens in the foreground and the fantastic variation. It's a fantastic painting.

This is such a rich painting. So much to take in by the senses. I could look at it for a long time. Really beautiful.
