FENCE AND SHADOW DANCE by Nancy Herman

FENCE AND SHADOW DANCE
9" x 12"
oil on canvas board

This fence, dancing in and out of the light, catches my eye as I sit in my daughter's Brooklyn backyard.  Architectural shadows pierce the picture plane in striking ways, darting here and there uniting shapes in ever changing patterns.

I am enjoying all your wonderful light, shadow play paintings. Such strong images...

A very neat composition - shadows are real eye-catchers and harder to capture well than you'd think. Great job!

The shadows are great as is the subtle coloring on the fence.
