Recently a new facebook page was started of the little town of Hydetown, PA for memories of those who grew up there or now live there. It has been so much fun remembering the places and events that "used to be". I decided to paint this "memory" of the quarter mile drag race that was a frequent happening in my growing up years and after. The guys would meet with their suped-up cars and the race would begin! It started at a certain driveway and ended in 1/4 mi at the bridge just before the hill.
Everyone would skedattle before the town cop would come along.

Sounds like a scene from a teen movie --wonderful dreamy rendering of this nostalgic memory.
Thanks Cecelia, It was so fun to do, I think I smiled all the while painting it.
