Latest "Floral" project by Tatiana Myers.

This is NOT something I normally do, because I never was much into cake decorating.
However I did bake some great cakes a while ago.
This summer, when Veronika and Todd finally set up their wedding date I offered to make for them something totally special... what nobody else here will be able to do - make a traditional wedding cake, secret  of which I learned in my college time from my best friend, Izolda.
Izolda was from Adjara, tiny republic inside of former republic of Georgia.
To make long story short Georgian cakes are like nothing else and nobody makes those here in USA...
I also wasn't sure how good I remember things from 20 years ago and had to Skype Izolda, who is right now happily married in Greece...
With Izolda's help cake was made and then I used my ability of sculptor and floral artists to make this...
One of a kind "Mr and Mrs Smith" kind of cake.
This was my latest art project what took whole week from the start to finish...
I hope bride and groom will enjoy its look
and I can guarantee they will enjoy the taste!
Best wishes to Veronika Kravchik and Todd Rine on their wedding day!

This is lovely and one that I am sure they will enjoy on their special day. What type of cake is on the inside?

Thank You, ladies!
Maria, if You familiar with it - it is famous multi-layered Georgian honey-cake. Takes FOREVER to do it this big. Regular biscuit would be easy way to go, but wouldn't be anything special.

My "Baba" used to make wonderful honey cookies that were so wonderful. Your friends are lucky to have this!!!!

Thank You, ladies! Yes, they totally loved it. I'm afraid, however, that I got myself in trouble... now everybody wants more!

Cake decorating is such an ART!
My mom decorates cakes...
She is so creative, too!!
Thanks for sharing your talent!

Thank You, ladies!

Sue, You are so right - it IS an art. I never done it before, but was hoping I can figure it out... I think it went all right for the first and only try of this kind. And best part - everybody like it.
Does Your Mom works professionally as cake decorator, or it is a hobby ?...

Good for her! I'm sure she enjoys it every time she is making another cake! It is very interesting process and somewhat addictive too!
