HAY BALES, 14x15, oil by Sharon Benner

The farm behind my house had their 20 acres cut and baled.  I wanted to paint this scene en plein air, but the guys were really quick about cutting, baling and hauling away,  so I had to paint this in my air conditioned studio from a photo.  The photo was taken late in the day.

I'm about to start a hay bale painting, too, in my " air conditioned studio". Julie Riker and I spotted blocks of hay aesthetically situated on rolling a landscape on our way to paint at Boiling springs--very bucolic and very beautiful as is your painting.

There's nothing like doing some plein air-conditioning, Sharon. Love your gorgeous colors in this!
