COLOR ALONG THE YELLOW BREECHES
An Original Plein Air
Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Color Along the Yellow Breeches'
Oil on Linen Panel
12 x 9

We went back to paint at Petra Wirth's on Monday,
and even though the heat had diminished some of
the flowers, the colors were still breath-taking.
I loved the way the day lilies, bee balm and hostas in
bloom created a border of color along the Yellow Breeches.

Very nice Claire; I wish I could have joined you.

I love this one, Claire - so soft and pretty! My day lillies have been gone for a couple of weeks now - replaced by garden phlox and queen anne's lace.
