'View from the Eisenhower Farm'
Gettysburg Festival Art Colony 2012
Oil
6 x 8
On the third day of the Gettysburg Festival Artist Colony,
I gave a workshop on working with a limited palette
when painting plein air. I really enjoyed seeing the artists
try various limited palettes as they approached their
next painting, and when we went to the Eisenhower farm
in the afternoon, I used a limited palette of Prussian Blue,
Alizarin Crimson and Cadmium Lemon Yellow for
this view of the mountains.
If you would like to see more of my work,
interested in purchasing any of my paintings you see
here on this blog, please contact me.

Row after row of beautiful color and brushwork--another excellent landscape.
This is so beautiful. Such a calming painting.
