I painted this on our first day of the Gettysburg Festival Artist
Colony. After all of the artists got settled into our
digs at the Lamp Post dormitory, we walked over to
the campus of the Gettysburg College to paint. I spotted
these sun-kissed hydrangeas right by the entrance
of the Administration Building. It was a wonderful way
to start an even more wonderful experience!!!

Hard to resist painting flowers in the sunlight--such a nice composition-lovely painting.
Claire, this is so pretty! Your style is perfect for gorgeous summer, sun-drenched blossoms.
