I was so excited when I learned that the Gettysburg Festival Artist
Colony was going to be able to paint at the Slyder Farm.
It is more remote than the other historical farms, and
usually is accessed by foot or by horse. On this morning
we had a wonderful workshop by Mark Brockman where
he showed us how to apply an underpainting of bright colors,
and then to lay paint on top of this. I had so much fun,
and will be experimenting with this technique some more.

This painting is a must see in person. It absolutely glows. What a wonderful festival it was.
I agree with Mary Beth; it really does glow!
I love the cool shadows Claire.
Beautiful, Claire. Can't wait to see it.
